This branch can be traced back to a John Annal who married Barbara Stewart in South Ronaldsay in 1781.
John and Barbara’s descendants include the Coastguard, John Gerard Annal who died in Goodwick, Pembrokeshire and John’s son Henry Sinclair Annal, the chemist of Melksham, Wiltshire.
There are no descendants left in Orkney today but a branch survives in Edinburgh.
